I have just begun my first round of packing for the six months of international adventures that lie ahead. Time has definitely flown, as I leave for Kigali, Rwanda in ONE WEEK!! It is hard to believe that I will soon be living in and learning the culture of this beautiful country on the other side of the world! I will be interning at Health Development Initiative (HDI), which is the partner organization of GlobeMed at Lawrence. Joining me are Abby and Maggie, two fellow GlobeMedders that I am beyond excited to spend these next six weeks with!
The first month and a half of this blog will be about my time in Rwanda, as well as a couple of looooong layovers in Paris and Johannesburg, and a weekend in Kampala, Uganda. In September I will begin the second "chapter" of my travels, which will be a semester of studying and interning in Ecuador! I hope you enjoy reading about my experiences abroad!
